Maybe it’s because I’m in my 30’s and can’t “hang” anymore, or maybe its the fact that I just really enjoy my sleep. Regardless, I’ve fallen in love with my sleep routine and the products that put me in a deep state of slumber (without being Rx-induced.)

I take my sleep very seriously and I’m genuinely proud of how well I do it. I’ve spent the majority of my adult life waking up at the crack of dawn to teach yoga before my 9-5, and coincidentally, spending late nights out bar hopping or bingeing Netflix from a laptop 3 inches from my face. It’s safe to say my sleep hygiene was problematic.

Over the past 4 years I’ve focused more deeply on my sleep than ever and there’s no turning back. I’m regularly in bed by 9:30, lights out by 10 and asleep probably within 15 minutes of then. Call me a grandma, I don’t care. I sleep better than most people I know and wake up feeling pretty damn good.

Nowadays, I might 100% look ridiculous when I’m climbing into bed at night (aside from the fact my face looks like a glazed donut from my nightly skincare) and I have zero shame in it. If there’s a product that will help my energy and sleep, I’ve probably tried it. From my mouth taping to my red light, here’s EVERYTHING I use nightly for seriously good sleep.

Avocado Mattress

The #1 most important and prized possession of mine: my Avocado Organic Luxury Mattress. I truly believe if there’s one thing to splurge on in your bedroom, it’s a mattress that you truly love to sleep on – and this one is IT for me. This one from Avocado is 100% non-toxic, emits zero VOC’s, and gives the perfect amount of support. It’s more on the firm-side, so we added on the pillow-topper to give a little extra cushion.

Quince Washable Silk Sleepwear

Light-weight, airy and luxurious. These silk pajamas from Quince have easily become my go-to and make me feel like I’m sleeping in luxury. Not only are they can you throw these in the wash, they’re nearly half the price of other washable silk brands out there.

Yaasa Luxe Weighted Blanket

The most luxurious weighted blanket on the market. Unlike other weighted blankets, this one is actually huge – it covers our king-sized bed. The weight is distributed perfectly to cover me and my 6’5 fiancé. Read about my other favorite Yaasa products here.

OOLER Sleep System Review | The Hive

OOLER Sleep System by ChiliSleep

This is a close second as my most prized possession. The OOLER by Chilisleep is a hydropower heating and cooling mattress pad for your bed. No matter if you sleep hot or cold, you can schedule this system to specific temperatures throughout the night. I crawl into my bed at 83 degrees, have it dip to 65 while I’m in my deepest sleep, and have a “warm wakeup” in the morning to gradually pull me out of my slumber. The best part? Your parter can sleep on their own specific settings. 10/10 recommend for the best sleep of your life. PS – you can read my detailed OOLER review here

JUVEA Silk + Silver Pillows

It’s so important to find a pillow that works for you. I recently got two Silk + Silver king-sized pillows from JUVEA and they’ve given me the exact comfort I was looking for. Not overly plush, not too hard, with enough support for my heavy head. (It’s fantastic for back sleepers IMO.)

These pillows are completely non-toxic and made with Silver – a natural anti-microbial that wards off mold, bacteria and allergens. The silk pillow cover is also fantastic for you skin and hair (double win.)

Sijo Flax Linen Sheets

I’ve been using these sheets for over two years now and they’re my absolute favorite. Not only are they beautiful, they get better with every wash. Flax linen is also sustainable, easy to wash and looks luxurious on my bed. And the price point is much better than other retailers.

Yaasa Sleep Mask

I don’t know why it’s taken me 30 years to start wearing a sleep mask, but there’s no turning back now. This specific sleep mask from Yaasa is extremely comfortable and completely blacks out any light in my room. The best part – the eye “sockets” don’t crush my eyelashes like other sleep masks do.

Joovv | The HIve

JOOVV Red Light

One of my favorite biohacking tools. Red light has unbelievable benefits for inflammation, skin health, and even sleep. I love the JOOVV Go 2.0 light because its portable and doesn’t take up a ton of space. Read this article for more info on red light therapy.

Loftie Alarm Clock

I recently broke up with my cell phone alarm clock and got myself a Loftie. These alarm clocks are sleek, provide soothing wake up sounds and even offer meditations to help guide you into deep sleep.

Somnifix Mouth Tape

One of the lesser-advertised things I do is tape my mouth at night. I wanted to kick my mouth-breathing habit at night and this simple, affordable tool has done just the trick.

I use mouth tape from a company called Somnifix, which makes disposable mouth tape specifically designed for sleep. Breathing through your nose is not only better for your immune system, it will provide you with better quality sleep, too.
