Organic or Bust – Our Subset Underwear Review

As someone who has struggled with finding comfortable and sustainable underwear and bra options, I was excited to try out Subset underwear, a brand that promises both. And after testing out their organic cotton underwear and bras for a few months, I can confidently say that Subset lives up to the hype. subset underwear review

If you’re in the market for new bras and underwear, I encourage you to try out Subset. Here is my Subset underwear review and why I’m a big fan of the brand.

Subset Underwear Review

Subset’s Underwear Sustainability

First and foremost, let’s talk about sustainability. Subset is committed to using only organic cotton and environmentally-friendly practices in their production. This means that their products are free from harmful chemicals and pesticides, and they prioritize the health of both their customers and the planet.  Plus, their packaging is 100% recyclable and biodegradable, which is a huge bonus in today’s world where we are all striving to reduce waste.

Organic Underwear Quality

But what about the actual products themselves? Let’s start with the underwear. Subset offers several different styles, including high-rise briefs, mid-rise briefs, and thongs. I personally tried out the high-rise briefs and was immediately impressed by how soft and comfortable they were. The organic cotton material is breathable and lightweight, yet still feels sturdy and durable. Plus, the high-rise cut is both flattering and practical, providing coverage and support without being too restrictive.

Amazing sizing options

One thing I particularly appreciate about Subset underwear is that they offer a wide range of sizes, from XS to 3XL. Subset’s sizing is spot-on, and I never once felt like I was squeezing into a pair that was too small or sagging in a pair that was too big – no matter what style I tried. Subset underwear review

Subset’s Organic Cotton Bras are *Chef’s Kiss*

Now let’s talk about the bras. Like the underwear, the bralettes are made from organic cotton and feel incredibly soft against the skin. They are also wire-free, which is a huge plus for me as someone who finds underwires uncomfortable. Despite being wire-free, the bralette still provides a decent amount of support, thanks to the elastic band and adjustable straps.

One thing I appreciate about Subset’s bras (and underwear) is that they offer a range of skin-tone colors, rather than just the standard black, white, and nude. This is a small but important detail that shows Subset is committed to inclusivity and celebrating a range of body types and skin tones.

They Offer Maternity Options, Too.

Subset also offers a great selection of underwear for pregnancy and maternity. It’s important for pregnant ladies to wear organic cotton underwear because it’s free of nasty chemicals and synthetic materials that can irritate the skin and make them feel uncomfortable. Organic cotton is also breathable and can help regulate body temperature, which is especially helpful during pregnancy.

Fair Pricing

In terms of pricing, Subset’s products are definitely on the pricier side. A single pair of underwear will set you back around $18, while a bralette costs around $35. However, given the high quality of the products and the brand’s commitment to sustainability, I think the price is worth it.

Final Thoughts – Subset Review

Overall, I highly recommend Subset to anyone who is looking for comfortable and sustainable underwear and bras. The brand’s commitment to using organic cotton and environmentally-friendly practices is admirable, and their products truly deliver on comfort and fit. Plus, with a range of styles and sizes available, there is something for everyone. subset underwear review
