I created a The Hive in 2016 to share my experience navigating my battle with late stage Lyme disease. Since then, my journal has evolved into a digital wellness publication focused on sustainable living, non-toxic products, gut health, and everything in-between.

Currently, you'll find me reading a new health book, jotting down ideas in my notebook, taking my dog Ziggy for a walk or riding my bike around
Mission Bay.

I'M LIZ FLOYD

Welcome to my corner of the internet - a place I call The Hive. I'm a health nut and dog mom residing in sunny San Diego,

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:

Dan makes an appearance on here every now and then to give his unbiased opinion, witty commentary and knowledge on a number of subjects. He has a corporate 9-5 by day and is The Hive's male test subject by night!

This is my boyfriend, Dan.
He’s pretty cool.

Back when I was living in NYC and NJ, I would teach up to 15 yoga classes a week! I even had the opportunity to teach classes lead retreats internationally. I'm an E-RYT 500 and plan on taking more trainings in the future!

I was a full-time yoga instructor.

I grew up in New Jersey, went to college at Boston University and lived NYC for a good chunk of my adult life. In 2018 I grabbed my pup, packed up my little Honda, and moved across the country to sunny San Diego.

I've found my forever home in San Diego.
